Shirley Quarry - wannabcre8tive
Wow, I never, in my wildest dreams, even imagined making it to the dirt pile so when I got the message from Lydia asking me to join, I was almost in shock. I am both honored and thrilled to be here.
I discovered stamping approximately 12 years ago. I had no idea how to stamp. I bought stamps and supplies, but really I made more of a mess than anything. One day I was in a craft store and a young lady was looking at stamps next to me. I asked her how she learned how to stamp. She told me about “Stampin’ Up” parties and how they taught ladies how to stamp. She made the mistake of telling me she was having a party. I really wanted to learn to stamp so guess who invited herself to this gal’s party? Yes, that would be me. Not only did I learn to stamp, I got a great friend out of the deal. That is where my journey of stamping began or should I say that is when my addiction began? ~Smile~ Shortly after that, I found Splitcoast and there was no looking back. I have learned so much here.
I live in a small town in Southern Illinois with my husband, two Yorkie’s, a Frenchie and a Boxer. I have two children, six grand-children and two great grand-daughters. My husband is into racing, so during the summer, I can be found at the race track watching him race. Whenever I am not stamping or at the track, you can find me spoiling my grand-babies or my fur babies.
I am look forward to sharing my projects with you over the next six months. I have been told this will be the quickest six months of my life.
Thank you, Lydia, for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the Dirty Dozen Design Team.
