Patricia Rose - kokirose
Hello everyone. Wow - I was very surprised to receive a PM from Lydia asking me if I wanted to become one of the Dirty Dozen. I have always thought what an honor it would be to become a Dirty Girl - now that is a dream come true. Thanks so much, Lydia, for inviting me to join the Dirty Dozen and these amazingly talented ladies.
My name is Patricia Rose aka "kokirose" here at SCS. I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Rob. He is one of my biggest supporters and enabler with my stamping addiction
I live in beautiful Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. I have been working at our local Ford Dealership for the past 16 years. I started out as a Service Advisor and am now the Appointment Co-ordinator. My other interests are spending time with family, photography, reading, sewing, kayaking and boating.
I have three adult children, Kristy, Kyle and Guy, two lovely daughter-in-laws Carlie and Alana. Plus, we have six beautiful grandchildren. Five sweet granddaughters. Kylana, Kayla, Nico, Kaylee and Sydney and one handsome grandson, Austin. Kristy and all six grandchildren love to come over and make cards with me. All the children and grandchildren live in Nanaimo - lucky us.
I started making cards and calendars with a printmaster program in 2002 on the computer. I started scrapbooking in 2003. My daughter, Kristy and I started making Valentines day cards in 2004 with just cardstock and stickers.
One of my mountain biking friends asked me if I would like to go to a Stampin Up party with her, I absolutely loved it and have never looked back. One of the ladies at the Stampin Up party mentioned the Splitcoaststampers website and how she loved it. I checked it out and joined in November of 2006. I thoroughly enjoy doing the challenges as they have helped inspire me and teach me new techniques. One of the things I love about Splitcoaststampers is the friendships we build and all of the encouragement we get from each other.
I have had the pleasure of meeting three amazing SCS sisters over the years. Pat Smethers (Blooms in a Box), Cindy Motherway (Mothermark) and Sabrina Friel (Cook22)
What I love about making cards, is giving them away and seeing the pleasure they give to the recipients.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Dirty Dozen and honored to have the opportunity to give back some of what Splitcoaststampers has give to me.
