Liz Williams - lazylizard
Houston, TX
Oh, my goodness, to say I wasn't surprised to find this incredible email from Lydia asking if I was interested in being in the Dirty Dozen is an understatement. Splitcoaststampers has been my daily "go to" spot on my computer for over 16 years. What an amazing place to learn all about paper crafting and to meet the best people from all around the world!

I am a retired kindergarten teacher, who has a small 2 bedroom home and one of those bedrooms being the " lazylizard lounge" better known as Liz's stamp room. I have a wonderful husband, Don who is very tolerant of my stamping hobby and my creative messes. My sister, Lynn (aka as allee's on SCS) is my partner in crime doing damage at every stamp, craft, and scrapbook store we can find. My 2 grown sons may not be looking forward to the bulk of their inheritance that will be thousands of stamps, inks in every color imaginable, dies to die for, paper cutting machines of different varieties, and tons of paper. My 7 grandchildren are the happy recipients of their granny's unique birthday cards.

My 91 year old parents are busy making 100 of their 70th edition of the handmade Christmas cards that they send out each year. So, I guess cardmaking is in the genes. I guess I must have thought watching them make the same card 100 times boring, because I seldom make any card twice. I enjoy the creating process of coming up with new designs and the process of watching art happen before my eyes, so my Christmas card making entails making them all through out the year, and each are unique and different than the other.

I am a native Texan, an active member of the Houston West Emmaus community, and have spent the last 20 years leading music for Karios and Jubilee weekends for women locked up in Texas prisons and state jails.

I am so looking forward to working alongside some of the most talented stampers and artists out there that I have admired from afar all these years. I love this community and it has been what has helped me keep my sanity during this pandemic!!
