Joanne Allison - Angelnorth
Northumberland, England
Hello! I'm Joanne, known online as Angelnorth. I'm thrilled and honoured to have been asked to join the Dirty Dozen and very much looking forward to working with a very talented bunch!

I've been crafting in one way or another since I was a wee girl. If I 'messed up' a project my mum used to say "Can you make a feature of it?" so I learned very early to see creative opportunities rather than mistakes. I discovered stamping 10 years ago and have come a long way since then - partly due to the fantastic learning opportunities on offer through Splitcoast!

I'm an "equal opportunities" stamper - you'll find me using stamps and supplies from a whole variety of makers. I'm just as likely to be using retired stuff as the latest thing. I think using what you love is the recipe for having fun in the craft room and stamping is all about the fun! Seeing the possibilities in the things you already have rather than always having to have that new stamp can be enormously satisfying (which is not to say I'm immune to the lure of new stamps!).

I'm married to a lovely man who supports my hobby even when he doesn't understand it. We live in rural Northumberland, just a stone's throw from the World Heritage site of Hadrian's Wall. I work from home as a freelance proofreader and when I'm not working or crafting you'll most likely find me with a book in my hand.
