The invite went like this. I was happily creating cards as samples for some of my host friends in the Falliday Fest 2016 Planning Forum. I was totally into the creative process when I got an email from Lydia (Understandblue) that said, "I think you would have even more fun if you joined the Dirty Dozen." I replied, "I AM having fun, what do you propose?" My thinking was that because I have done some tasks for Splitcoaststampers in the past she wanted me to join the Dirty Dozen for some Falliday Fest purpose or some behind the scenes housekeeping. There is thick, there is dense, there is slow to catch on, and then there is OBTUSE!
I live in Florida--in the land of the mermaids. Yes, real mermaids. Weeki Wachee (Brooksville), Florida. I was not a mermaid. I am a retired teacher and school administrator. I live here with my wonderful husband of 27 years, surrounded by horse and cattle farms. We have no children and because we travel every chance we get, we have no pets. In my mind, when we slow down and settle, I see an Irish setter or Golden Lab in my future! My favorite place I've traveled to is Greece. Our most recent trip took us to South Dakota to visit the presidents--Mount Rushmore. I loved the Black Hills and The Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup. In about 5 more states, I will have done all 50!
My creative style is eclectic. If pressed to nail down one style, I'd say I really enjoy Clean and Simple approaches. I love perusing galleries and Pinterest boards to get motivated and inspired. I also enjoy the daily challenges here on the SCS site. I have made many friends and have discovered many mentors whose work I channel here in my second home. I am looking forward to making new friends and learning new things during my time in the dirt pile!
