Janette Olen - blessingsx3
I am so excited and thrilled to have been asked to be a part of the Dirty Dozen! The women who are a part of this group are amazingly talented crafters and I am so honored to join them. You can imagine what an incredible surprise it was to have received the call from Lydia, as I have only dreamed of being a “dirty girl”.

My husband and I have been married for 11 years and we live in a suburb of Buffalo, New York where I have lived my entire life. God has blessed us with 3 beautiful daughters ages 16, 10, and 8, and that is what inspired my SCS username (blessingsX3). I am a mostly stay at home mom (I work about 8 hrs a week as a legal secretary) and am grateful that it allows me to have some crafting time while my girls are at school.

I have enjoyed making all kinds of crafts for as long as I can remember. My mother and I even used to sell some of the items that we made at local craft shows. I started papercrafting about 11 years ago when my husband and I were invited by one of his co-workers to a scrapbooking party- yes, he went to the party too lol. He ordered me the very large starter kit that night and alas, my love of papercrafting began. A couple years later, scrapbooking took a back seat to card making when, you guessed it, I was invited to a stamping party lol.

The Stampin' Up! demonstrator introduced me to Splitcoast and I became a member here in 2006. I have been hooked ever since. This site is so full of inspiration and I have made many friendships including one of my closest friends, Korin (SCS sweetnsassystamps). I currently am one of the hostesses for the sketch challenge on SCS on Wednesdays. I have also been blessed to serve on design teams for some wonderful companies including Sweet N Sassy stamps, High Hopes, Hanna Stamps, H & M stamps, DRS designs, 7 kids college fund, and Paper Temptress. I was fortunate enough to have been published in Papercrafts magazine, Card Maker magazine, and Paper Creations magazine as well. Wow, what a wonderful journey it has been!

Thank you so much for this opportunity to be among this prestigious group of women. I hope that I can inspire you with my creations over the next six months.
