I always hoped to be a Featured Stamper here at SCS and was thrilled when that happened. I never thought I would be thought of as a Dirty Girl - ever! So needless to say I was thrilled when Lydia invited me to the Dirty Dozen. When Lydia called all I could think of as she was talking is that she didn't have a Texas accent! Her invitation didn't really sink in until a few hours later! Thank you Lydia for this opportunity and I hope I don't disappoint!

My husband Bruce and I have been married for 33 years and we are both retired. We have one daughter - Alexis who is 24 years old. We have three cats whom we consider our children as well. We live in "the East Bay" of Northern California which means we live east of the San Francisco Bay and San Francisco.

I started card making on my own using Mrs Grossman's stickers in 2006. I went onto EBay to find stickers at a good price and that is where I found out about rubber stamps! Much more economical than stickers - right!?! And that discovery led me to Splitcoaststampers where I stalked the galleries for a good 6 months before I got brave enough to upload my first card. Almost everything I know about techniques, stamps, ink, etc is from SCS and by participating in the challenges here.

In addition to stamping I love to knit, read and travel. I volunteer at a local food pantry and my knitting group donates chemo caps and new baby hats to a local hospital and scarves and hats every Christmas to St Anthony's Kitchen in San Francisco.
