I’m a Stay at Home Mom of three beautiful girls (ages 10, 7, and 2) and am married to my best friend. Thankfully, my sweet husband is very supportive of my creative time and has no problem being a ‘crafting widower’ a couple of evenings a week. We’ve lived in the Yukon for almost a year now and we love it! It’s truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. During the warmer months, I spend time hiking, mountain biking and canoeing. The colder months will soon bring cross-country skiing and snowshoeing (just as soon as I get my gear), but for now I do have time-consuming indoor hobby!

I started scrapbooking just a few months after my first baby was born. She took four-hour naps and I was BORED! I never knew that paper crafting would soon become my passion. It took me a couple of years to complete all of my albums, and then I went in search of something else to keep me busy. A friend took me to a Stampin’ Up party and I was hooked! I’ve been papercrafting for 9 years now, I’m hopelessly behind in the family albums and I’m just loving it!

Normally, I’m a hyper-organized, by-the-book kind of gal, but papercrafting is therapy for me. In my craft room, all of my stress melts away as I become the creative version of myself. I love that person! My favourite crafting companions: Chocolate treats and Twilight movies! I have no idea if I have a particular crafting style. I’ve never been able to define it, and no one has every done it for me. I craft what I feel like. Sometimes that’s bright and fun, sometimes it’s soft and vintage. I’m sure you will notice though that I use a lot of little girl images! I love my sweet daughters and I’m just so drawn to those girly stamps.

On Splitcoaststampers, I’m clarhan and I blog at Delightfully Distressing Designs. In all honesty, I thought it would be years before I would ever be considered to be on the Dirty Dozen Design Team! I’ve only been blogging since November (though I’ve been on SCS much longer)! It still feels very surreal for me, but I’m so very excited to be creating with such a supportive and talented group of ladies! They’ve welcomed me so warmly into the Dirtpile! Thanks, ladies!
