Bronwyn Eastley - BronJ
Hello Everyone. I am so honoured and thrilled to be joining the Dirty Dozen! I'm still pinching myself that I get to hang out in the dirt pile with such a talented group of paper crafters.
I was introduced to stamping and card making in 2008 when I attended my first Stampin' Up! workshop. I was looking for a teddy bear stamp to make my own tags as I was obsessed with hand sewing mohair teddy bears at the time. I never did find the right teddy bear stamp but from that day onwards I became totally hooked on paper craft!
My demo friend suggested that I check out Splitcoaststampers where so many talented people uploaded their cards; as a beginner stamper, it was my go to place for ideas and inspiration and to learn new stamping techniques, card folds etc. I spent countless hours browsing in member's galleries and watching tutorials. This site was instrumental in me gaining the confidence that I needed to sign up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I also had my own Splitcoast Gallery (BronJ) long before I started my first blog, AddINKtive Designs.
Fast forward 13 years and I'm still in love with paper crafting. I currently design for The Dimensionals, Colour INKspiration Challenges and The Stamp Review Crew. In 2016 I was on the Creative Crew in Splitcoast. Over the years I have discovered that I love to design 3D cards; ones that slide, pop-up or just have a unique fold. After retiring from my day job as a School Principal at a local Christian school at the end of 2017, I embarked on turning my hobby of writing and publishing card tutorials into a 'business' which I can 'take on the road' when hubby and I travel in our Motorhome (a motorised AVIDA Birdsville).
When we're not travelling, my husband (of 37 years) and I live in Legana, Tasmania, Australia. It's a small town nestled on the banks of the Tamar River and the area is known for its vineyards and apple orchards. I'm a bit biased but Tassie is certainly a beautiful island with heritage listed national parks, picturesque beaches and amazing scenery around every corner. I guess if we can't travel overseas at the moment due to COVID, Tasmania isn't a bad place to be stuck.
We have two grown up children (one of each) who are pursuing careers that they love while I patiently wait for the day they both find their perfect match and finally make me a grandmother!
My other interests include knitting, bike riding, photography, beachcombing, watching movies and having coffee with friends.
I'm thankful for this opportunity to be part of the Dirty Dozen and ultimately be a more active member of the Splitcoaststampers community.
