Broni Holcombe - Waterchild12
Chester, SC
Hi! I'm Waterchild12 here on Splitcoast! I never in a million years thought I would be chosen as a part of the Dirty Dozen. I actually woke up several times the night that Julie contacted me, ran to the computer, and reread her message just to make sure I wasn't dreaming! Let me just say how thrilled and honored I am to be here.

I live in beautiful South Carolina with BF George, 4 cats, and whatever critters decide to wander into, and graze in, my yard! I'm a mother to 2 gorgeous young ladies, Gretchen and Jennifer, and a Nana to 3 rambunctious but precious grandsons, Hunter (7), Will (4) and Miles (1). I'm happiest when I'm in or around water - the ocean, a lake, a river, or a pool. My birth sign is Cancer (the crab) and my birthday is the 12th (July) so that's how I came up with my SCS name.

I've always loved crafts and attempted to conquer any that have fascinated me. My mother taught me to sew and gave me her 1940's Singer when I married and moved away. I made most of my daughters' clothes when they were very young. I'm extremely grateful that I was able to learn to crochet from my grandmother when I was a child. I also learned to knit when I was young and made most of my own Barbie doll clothes! I've quilted, cross-stitched and embroidered, too. I had never tried paper crafts until my daughter invited me to a Stampin' Up! party. I knew then that this was a craft I could love, but it wasn't until I began lurking on Splitcoast and trying the challenges that I started to realize how much I had been missing and just how much I would love it! Both my mother and one of my sisters are artists and my dad was a woodcarver, so I like to think that some of their talent has and will continue to radiate over to me through osmosis!

In the *other* world, I work as an accountant for a major beer distributorship, and spend any spare time I can find playing with the grandkids, kayaking, swimming, gardening, reading, and line-dancing. [Yee haw!]

My goal, in the 6 months that I will be here, is to do my very best to contribute as much as I can to this wonderful website, the patient geniuses that maintain it, and all the artists who come here daily to participate in this warm and welcoming community. I'm so happy to be here! Thanks so much for having me!
