I am so very excited to be joining the SCS Design Team! I have been enjoying membership here since 2008 and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. This is a community of very talented artists as well as very encouraging and friendly people! I feel so honored (and a bit intimidated) to have an opportunity to design here!
I have been stamping since the middle of 2008, having been introduced to the creative arts by a friend during a Stampin' Up! party. I had absolutely no idea that I could make something real with my own two hands! Well, I was hooked from day 1 and proceeded to 'collect' a ton of stuff before finally settling down with what really works for me. My favorite style is CAS. I love white space, and I strive for an elegant modern look that I can use in professional circles. I think the most CAS card I ever made was the best one - but you might think it over simplified - LOL. You can see it here: Since I focus on CAS designs, I am a remote friend to Susan Raihala of the Simplicity Blog. She taught me so much about space and accents for CAS. I also studied with Julie Ebersole when she gave her own classes for beginners. After many years of developing my own style, CAS is still my favorite. Although, I will branch out to layers and other techniques, specially whenever it involves die cuts and embossing folders - since I love those too! My other passions are: guitar, calligraphy, making stationery, making mini-books, kayaking, photography, SharePoint, and new technologies that involve FUN. If you want to learn more about me personally, feel free to check out my video from this video on YouTube. I've moved from Sammamish to Woodinville, and the Sonics Basketball team left us, are the only big changes since that video posted. (smiles) I hope I can inspire you during my time as a designer here. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions on anything I make, or if you want your own copy. I create in order to give, so I often send my cards out to people that like them! Thank you for being interested in me and my designs! Respectfully,

P.S. The name Girl Geek 101 comes from two facts: 1. my addiction to technology (female geek), and 2. the "101" part refers to my love for teaching...... smiles.
