Ok - I'm always late to the new trends but I've finally started using sequins on my cards. I've been gluing them on with Crystal Effects but it's a big fat pain (at least for me). Sometimes they stick, sometimes they don't. Anyone have a method they like ... I'm looking for a better way!
I like aleene's tacky glue more than crystal effects for sequins. It seems to hold a little better. There are also some micro glue dots out there that I have yet to buy that I think would work-- I think they are like 2mm.
I like Multi Matte Medium to attach sequins. It dries clear and not tacky if you get any on the paper around the sequin. I've used the micro glue dots, and they do stick really well. However, the sticky comes through the hole.
I am also an Aleene's Tacky Glue user for sequins. I have also used the micro glue dots, but as Krista said, the sticky peeks through the hole in the middle.
I use glue dots. It peeking through the hole in the sequin doesn't bother me, although I have to be careful when stacking those cards on top of each other. I use the flat end of my paper piercer to push the sequin firmly onto the glue dot.
I have also used Tombow Mono Multi, but I find it difficult to keep it from smooshing out the sides, getting it on my fingers, etc.

I have found that if the glue dot makes the little hole in the sequin seem sticky, I just dab it with my embossing buddy and the "sticky" dries up.
I use crystal effects and tweezers. Just a little tiny dot is all you need.I'll hold the sequin with the tweezers, apply my tiny dot or two of CE around the hole (a toothpick works well to do this) and stick it where i want it. I like that if it does ooze a tad it's shiny like the sequin and blends in nicely.

Another Glossy Accents user here, but I'm really wanting to try the Ranger Multi Matte Medium.

Caution: You are entering an artistic zone. This is not clutter - this is creating. These are not pajamas - it's my work uniform.
I use Collage Pauge, a liquid glue similar to Matte Medium that's made by Aleene's. (It's less expensive than MM and comes in a much larger bottle.) I pour some onto a craft mat or waxed paper, and then I apply it to the paper with a toothpick. It works great.
