Metal is the challenge in this week's Mixability Challenge - I could hardly pass that up! This is a page for my art journal - I prefer working on loose pages and then add them in with page protectors (it's actually a small scrapbook album.)
My metal appears in 2 ways - the chipboard pieces are painted gold using Silks and then "patinaed" using more Silks and I also have 2 metal embellishments - the Serenity tag and the bird on the cage.
The whole piece is based loosely on the Tim Holtz March tag. You can get a complete tutorial on the ColourArte Blog.
If you are interested in learning more about using the Cricut Explore to cut custom chipboard pieces from empty cereal boxes you can read about it on my own blog. Pezadoodle Blog
