Coupon Card

by KellyJean Gettelfinger

Combine a card and coupon book with this special fold.

Supplies

  • 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock
  • Paper trimmer with scoring blade
  • Bone folder
  • 2 1/2" circle punch (or decorative cutting tool with an opening at least 2 1/2")
  • Other supplies as needed to complete the card (Stampin' Up!® products used here: stamps: Layering Love and Love You Lots; ink: Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Smoky Slate, Basic Black; cardstock: 2016-17 In Color Peach, Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron; designer series paper; 2016-17 In Color Peach ribbon; Heart Border Punch, Circle Punches, Oval Framelits, Project Life Pen )

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

With the longest edge of the cardstock to the top of the trimmer, score down at 5 1/2".

  2. Step 2

Rotate the cardstock a quarter turn. At 4 1/4", score down to the previously scored line, and then trim the remaining way through the cardstock.

  3. Step 3

At 2 1/8", trim from the same trimmed end only to the center scored line.

  4. Step 4

Flip the cardstock so that Step 3 can be repeated, creating four trimmed sections on the lower half of the cardstock.

  5. These sections will be the "coupons." Fold and crease all score lines to be sure the card closes well.

  6. Step 5

Trim the coupon edges with a 2-1/2" circle punch by feeding half the cardstock into the bottom of the punch.

    NOTE:

A die or another decorative punch can also be used for this step as long as the opening will accommodate the width of the 2 1/8" sections of cardstock.

  7. Step 6

Decorate and embellish as desired. The front of the card can be completed, as well as both inside panels and the 4 coupon panels (front and back).

  8. Step 7

    Complete the project.
