Lights, Camera, Action!

These easy-to-use templates make creating show stopping cards as simple as tracing, cutting and gluing. I love making cards that slide, move, flip and pull, but usually it takes lots of time to figure out all the correct cutting lines, then the folds, then I usually end up cutting something wrong and starting all over. This can be a little frustrating, not to mention a waste of paper. With Action Card Templates you simply trace the outside edge, mark the fold and cut lines, add a little glue and you're done with a great looking card.
In addition to the detailed written instructions, Green Sneaker's website has easy to follow videos that explain all the steps for each card. I'll admit I did okay with just the written instructions on most of the cards, but one gave me a little trouble, so I watched the video, then it all made sense!
Having all the measurements on an easy to follow template make these great projects to use for a card class or shoebox swap because you can trace the entire design on paper, then have the attendees cut, fold and glue it together. The cards end up looking complicated, but are super easy for all levels of paper crafters.
I really enjoyed putting these cards together and look forward to using the templates on a regular basis. They are a good starting point for those days when you're just stumped and don't know where to start. Just put the template together, add some stamped images and you have a real showstopper!

The Action Templates are different than any card you will create, why you ask? They are interactive cards that move and slide to uncover hidden surprises! These are lots of fun and would be great for making those super special cards with pictures or personal sentiments. Action Templates would be great for young people too, it would keep them busy for hours. A great way to tap into their creativity.
I was really surprised at the ease of following the instructions and bringing them all together. The website has a video for each style of template to follow along to help if needed. I really like the idea of a fun and diverse styled card with my own personal touches.
The Action Templates are a gratifying way to make some uniquely styled cards, that come together smoothly.

3, 2, 1..ACTION!
By Bev Rousch
I remember the first time I decided to give a fancy action card a try. I had seen a friend make one, and I was so inspired that I ran over to Splitcoast straight away to look at some tutorials. I'm very much a visual learner, so the tutorials helped immensely.
When I opened my package of Green Sneaker templates, I was so excited. Pencil, paper, an exacto knife, some dabs of glue...you're in business!
I keep all my templates in a binder with clear sleeves, and these templates work perfectly with that system. First, I took white cardstock and made each card up (embellishment-free) to put with their templates in the binder, this way I can see an example of the moving card and figure out if it's right for what card idea I'm working with. Making them first with blank cardstock, I got all excited about working with the Green Sneakers templates. I finished making all the blank examples and right away threw myself into making the 3-Tiered card. These templates are that inspiring.
The template plastic is nice and thick and very easy to trace around. I use a little dotto on the back of them when I lay them down on the paper so there isn't any shifting when I trace.
I found that watching the Green Sneakers videos while making these the first few times was really nice. I played and paused my way through all my blank copies for my template binder and found I didn't have to watch them again for making my actual cards. The Green Sneakers people are pretty smart to have those videos ready for us.
The only problem I found is that the fancy action cards end up so SQUEE inducing that I honestly don't know how I'm going to be able to give them away. I just want to pet them, or keep them in my purse to show them off to random strangers. I'm going to be in the news: Crazy card lady at the Kroger, news at 11. Ha! Thanks for that Green Sneakers.
If you're looking to get out of a design rut or if you just want to add a huge splash of WOW into your card making, these templates are just the ticket.
