Reflection Technique
Seeing multicolored foliage reflecting in the still water of a lake is one of the prettiest sights to behold, and it's also one of the easiest things to recreate with your stamping supplies. If you'd like a mirror image of anything, try this tutorial.

Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Rosetta asked: "Can dry embossed images be colored?"
A: They sure can! Carefully apply chalk (pastels) with sponge daubers or Q-tips®. You can also apply regular ink with a sponge or by swiping the ink pad over the embossed areas. The raised surface will catch the ink from the ink pad. There are some great samples for that in the gallery.

Feedback From Past Tutorials
Deborah has a hint for our Gift Card Holder tutorial: "Make your own coin envelope! Here's how:
Cut a piece of cardstock to 5 ½" x 4".
Score horizontally to the 5 ½" edge at 1 ½" and 4".
Score along the other side at ½". (This will be the bottom of your envelope.)
Position your cardstock so that the bottom is on the bottom, scored sides up.
Trim the cardstock along the bottom score line from the left edge to the 1 ½" score mark & down to the bottom of the cardstock. Discard piece.
Trim the cardstock along the bottom score line from the right edge to the 4" score mark & down to the bottom of the cardstock. Discard piece.
Fold side flaps in, adhering the top flap to the bottom flap.
Fold the bottom flap up, adhering to the envelope.
NOTE: If you make this envelope for use inside the Gift Card Holder in the SCS Resource section, you will not have to trim it, as it is already 3 ½". Also, I would suggest punching the semi-circles out of these before adhering them together, as these are quite thick. The best part about making your own envelopes is that you can choose your own coordinating color!"
