Splitcoaststampers-The Stamper's Community

Issue #336 October 30th 2012
We have been proud to partner with the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center this month for our third annual card campaign to benefit cancer patients and their families. We are quickly approaching 3,000 beautiful cards in our Hope You Can Cling To gallery.

Visit our Hope You Can Cling To forum to see how you can still participate as we look to finish the campaign with record-breaking success. You'll feel great for sharing, and you might win a crafty prize from one of our thirty-two amazing sponsor companies who make it possible.

With grateful hearts,

Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Kathy asked: "How does one clean a brayer after you've inked it to do the crayon rubbed embossing project?"
A: I just rinse my brayer in the sink - I only use water based inks so cleaning them with water is just fine.

    Feedback From Past Tutorials
Maryanne has a suggestion for the Faux Washi Tape tutorial: "I figured out how to make tissue tape that looks like the kind you buy. I do not have a blog, so I thought I could tell your group and that way everyone could try it. First, you need paper first-aid tape (i.e. Nexcare 3M paper tape) Put the tape all over a piece of regular printer paper for an inkjet printer - a laser printer will not work. Purchase a digital background paper or design your own. Finally, print off your design onto the paper you put the tape on. Let it dry a few minutes and then peel off and store on wax paper."
