Q: naebird asked: "I saw in the SU!® catalog that you can use the ink refills to dye twill tape. I couldn't find any examples or instructions. I would love to try this for some bookmarks, but I am not sure where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
A: It's easy to dye twill, cardstock, metal rimmed tags, ribbon and fibers. In a small bowl, mix a few drops of reinker with some water. Your water/ink mix should completely cover what you're dyeing. Let soak for a few minutes until you have the look you want. That can take up to 10 minutes. Remove from water and let dry. If the color isn't dark enough, add more reinker drops and repeat.

Kris Turner has a hint for the Painted Pearls technique. "One thing I learned over time is that if your "painting" hides the detail lines within an image (i.e., flower petals, lines in leaves, etc.), you can simply go over those lines with the Aquapainter while the picture is still wet to lift the color off the lines. It can make quite a difference to the overall look."
