Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Deb asked: "I'd like to know how to use Liquid Applique™. I've seen it used for snow or whipped cream on cocoa. I wondered what else this can be used for and how much to apply to make it puff up. "
A: You only have to apply Liquid Applique sparingly. Make sure you let it dry first. For best results, let it sit overnight, then heat it with your embossing tool. Only heat enough to make it puff up. Liquid Applique can be scorched when overheated it.

Try adding glitter to it before heating it up for a sparkly look, or add color to the puffed up applique with reinkers or chalks.

There is also a technique you can do with colored (brown, black, red) Liquid Applique. Add to your cardstock and brayer over it to spread out. Next, heat it for a faux leather look.
Liquid Applique was a Way to Use it challenge (twice) so you're sure to find some great samples there.

    Feedback From Past Tutorials
Mel has an alternative for the Bleached Out Image tutorial: "This is a great technique, but if you can't use bleach you can paint on the card stock with a White Craft [pigment] ink wash to get similar results sans the smell."
