Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Joann asks: "Do you have any hints or shortcuts for uploading cards? For the daily challenges, I rarely have time to make the cards, take the pictures, upload them with all the details about stamps, inks and supplies, and I'm wondering if I am overcomplicating the process. Do people have a photo area set up all the time? I usually wait for daylight, but am making cards at night. During VSN, I try to write down supplies on my tracking sheet, but on a daily basis I'm going back to check on the stamps etc. I admire the stampers who post so many projects."
A: I tend to save up cards and photograph them when I have 3 or 4 ready. I use Picasa for cropping and light adjustments, and edit several cards at once. Remember that there's no deadline on the weekly challenges, and even for weekend challenge events like VSN, the deadline gives lots of flexibility for uploading. You can write supplies and details on a sticky note as you work, and attach it to the back of your card until you're ready to upload to the gallery. Here's a great tutorial for setting up a photo area and editing your photos.

Feedback From Past Tutorials
Erica has an idea for using the Paper Cone tutorial: "I can do this as Easter treats for my daughter's co-workers. It will be lots of fun, and unique too!"
