Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Sue asked: "I have a difficult time getting a sharp image with cling (clear) stamps. Is there something I can do to condition them to receive the ink better?"
A: Try using a white art eraser on the stamps when they are brand new, and then clean the stamp and use it. That usually helps.

However, the type of ink pad you use makes a huge difference too. The "firm foam" dye based pads do a much better job with solid stamps - clear or rubber - than the linen style ink pads do. Try a few different brands with the same stamp to see the difference. Also, visit our Tool & Product talk forum for lots of chatter on this subject.

    Feedback From Past Tutorials
Donna has a suggestion for the stapled pleated ribbon tutorial: "Instead of staples, I lay down the extra strong red double-sideed tape as a strip to run my ribbon along - bending the ribbon over to form the "ruffles" as I go along. Beautiful, clean ruffles and infinite run lengths not limited by how far your stapler can reach."
