Glitter Window

by Beate Johns

This is a quick and easy technique for a sparkly card.

Supplies

image

Clear packing tape

One or more punches to make your window(s)

Dazzling Diamonds™ glitter (or any other non-colored, fine glitter)

Cardstock to make window

Neutral cardstock to put underneath window (slightly smaller layer)

Cardstock to finish the card

Double-sided tape

Stamps

Step By Step

Step 1

Step 1.
Punch one or more windows into your cardstock. My strip was 2 1/4" x 4".

Step 2

Step 2.
Lay "window" cardstock over the neutral cardstock. My neutral cardstock piece was 2 1/8" x 3 7/8".

Step 3

Step 3.
Stamp the images you want to see through the window onto your neutral cardstock. If you just have one window, just stamp it on a bigger piece of neutral cardstock and trim it later. If you have several windows like in this example, stamp your images through the windows.

Step 4

Step 4.
Decorate the window cardstock.

Step 5

Step 5.

Flip window cardstock over and apply packing tape over the windows. The sticky side of the packing tape will face the stamped side of the cardstock.

Step 6

Step 6.

Rub glitter over the sticky side of the packing tape.

Step 6

Tap off excess glitter and put it back in the container.

Step 7

Step 7.
Flip window cardstock around again and add double-sided tape.

Step 8

Step 8.
Line up neutral cardstock under the window cardstock and tape together.

Step 9

Step 9.
Finish your card.

Variation

Just use one window.

Cut window with coluzzle.
