Try this little twist on Embossing Resist for a simple WOW.
Dye ink (lighter and darker colored)
Versamark™
Solid stamps
Brayer
Clear embossing powder
Heat tool
Paper towel
Step 1.
Stamp smaller solid stamps in lighter colors all over cardstock. Flower images were used here, but shapes work well, too.
Let dry.
Step 2.
Ink main image with Versamark and stamp over smaller images.
Step 3.
Pour clear embossing powder over Versamarked image and tap off excess powder.

Step 4.
Use heat tool to melt the embossing powder. Let cool.
Step 5.
Ink your brayer with a darker dye ink and apply ink to entire cardstock piece.
Step 6.
Continue to brayer, adding more color to cardstock until satisfied. Let dry.
Step 7.
Take a paper towel and wipe ink off of embossed.
Step 8.
Take a more detailed stamp and an even darker dye ink color and stamp over cardstock. Here, the swirl stamp from the stamp set "Priceless" was used. A large background stamp or wheel would work as well.
Step 9.
Wipe any excess ink off of embossed flower again.
