Ask Beate
Beate Johns answers your technique questions
Q: Kim asked: "I've tried to make a shaker card using the resources directions, but the space between the window sheet and the image layer is so thin, that my "shaker" doesn't shake! It's stuck in the middle. I used chunky glitter. Any suggestions on how to make my shaker shake?"
A: When I have bigger, chunkier fillings for my shaker card, I build a double layered frame for it with my mounting tape. Create a frame and add foam tape like normal. When you're done, add a second layer of foam tape right over the first one before filling it. If you're using something like M&Ms, you might need a few more layers of foam tape. Check out this link for more advice.

Vi has a suggestion for the scalloped square tutorial: "I just tried it with the Fiskars treading water punch. It turned out really well."
