Ask Beate
Beate Johns answers your technique questions
Q: Karren asked: "Is using water and Windex [glass cleaner] hard on rubber stamps over time? Does it deteriorate them?"
A: Using water won't hurt your stamps, but it might not clean them all the way. Stamp cleaners are better since they will condition your stamps while cleaning. You don't want to use anything with alcohol listed in the ingredients to clean your stamps. It will dry out your rubber and if you continue to use alcohol based cleaners, hairline cracks will form in your stamps.
