I pulled this stamp out and dusted it off for this week's sketch challenge. See This Thread for Particulars Forums at Splitcoaststampers
The image was quite challenging because I wanted white snowflakes. So I chose to stamp on Kraft card stock. To get the Snowflakes white and use brown ink on the rest of the image, I used scotch tape and my stampamajig. I used the tape to mask the stamp first Bambi and Thumper and then inked the stamp with white pigment, removed the tape and stamped down. Embossed the snowflakes with white embossing powder. Then I used the tape to mask off the snowflakes, inked the rest of the image with Timber Brown Stazon, removed the tape from the stamp and used the stampamajig to replace the stamp down on the cardstock. It took a couple of tries to get it just right. I have some stray embossing powder but hopefully it will just be an extension of the snow...I was actually looking for a different ribbon when I saw the snowflake ribbon so I used that. It is a little darker than I was goign to use but I think it is OK. Not sure if I want to add a sentiment or not. I might just do a small levi-type tag to maybe put "Daughter" on or something. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss Fiskars Texture Plate snowflakes. I used the Fiskars snowflakes because they have a slightly different look than the Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.
