I was thinking, limited supplies - no problem, this should be easy ---- but, WOW, Dawn gave us a great challenge to think outside the box.
I Cut out the owl shape in 2 colors to layer for some dimension and used the exacto knife to cut some feather slits in the top layer so the bottom layer could show through. After piecing the owl together, I distress inked it and attached it to a top folded card layer, then cut out the owl shape again from that card layer.
