Hello and thanks for viewing my Mother's Day Card for my mother-in-law. My mother passed away in 2000, so my mother-in-law is the one that I get to lavish cards and gifts on...
I wanted to create a card with vivid spring colors so I decided on pink, red and lilac with white as an accent. The layers are all paper pierced and the foreground is cuttlebugged with the swiss dots embossing folder. All the flowers were stamped and some were even colored with Gamsol Magic on top of stamping to intensify the color. I also stamped the leaves on a light green cardstock with mellow moss ink and cut them out, too. I added interest to the flowers with a white signo pen with dots, dashes, etc. I popped up some of the cut out flowers with pop dots. The sentiment is SU and is stamped in Stazon black on white cardstock, and sponged around the edges in Lovely Lilac (although it's hard to see in the picture). The oval hardware plate is from JoAnn's and colored with a red Sharpie pen (thanks to Faith for that great idea...why don't they sell these things in color?). I added a little bling to the hardware with Signo white dots (another Faith inspiration) and pink rhinestone brads. I finished the card with a stacked ribbon of pink satin with white & red polka dots.
Do you think my mother-in-law will like this?

What a beautiful and fun vibrant card Linda! You can tell how much thought was put into this, I like your added dots and dashes, your bright colors, and the paper piecing on one of your flowers...and the happiness that went into this...it is a treasure for sure! I am so sorry you lost your Mother, my sympathy to you...but I am glad you have another Mother in your life that you can shower with love!! She is blessed to be sure!
