Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge: Paper Tole.
So, of course, out came Happy Henna Hippo for today's challenge! LOL
Paper tole, in stamping, is the layering of a stamped image. I OFTEN use this technique to add dimension to a card.
I stamped Happy Henna Hippo 3 times. (I stamped her on two pieces of SU! designer paper and once on Soft Sky.)
I outlined the images with a Tempting Turquoise
SU! marker and the cut out the images. I used the LARGE polka dots for the face and bottom layer. I added the butt and then the tail. I used Signo Pen on the eye, nose, tooth, and toe nails.
The outlined swirls were made by stamping the bottom of the table from the Gina K. Designs set: Thinking of You! I stamped it in VersaMark and embossed in white around the black panel. I stamped it in Basic Black around the Tempting Turquoise panel. (I added MANY Signo Pen dots to the TT panel! LOL)
The HodgePodge Hardware was colored with a Sharpie marker. Dots were added with the Signo Pen.
I added dots to the panels with a Signo Pen and SU! marker.
The ribbon came from the Offray Outlet in Hagerstown, MD.
