I belong to a wacky group of 8 girls on SCS (CCEE) that do a challenge for each Monday. Today we were supposed to use a photo on our project... I chose to do this one of my father, second from the right, that I scanned and printed.
I then colored only their clothes with copic markers and daubered distress inks around the edges.
The 'title' is computer generated. This is also a sneak peek of Cardmaker's Shapes which I stamped in Adirondack Latte over the title, cut out, doodled and sponged the edges. It is popped on dimensionals.
The card base is DCWV paper stamped with Montana Cracked Earth in Adirondack Latte.
*stamps: Montana Cracked Earth, Cardmaker's Shapes from Cornish Heritage Farms
*ink: Ranger Distress Old Paper, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Adirondack Latte also available from CHF
*paper: DCWV, Georgia Pacific white
*distressing tool, dimensionals, fine artist pen, copic markers

Fabulous vintage photo, Dawn!! Wow! So you actually have gun toting cowboys in your past!! Too cool!!! Great job with the distressing - lovely card - and what a great photo to have! Yes , I agree with Cammie - great job doctoring the photo with just that hint of colour like they did in those days...

Wow--this is fabulous. I can't believe you colored the clothes with Copics--it looks great! And the bg too. Love how you did the title and all the edge distressing. This is a really unique and creative card. Wonderful!

Wonderful sepia tones to the photograph. I love how you coloured just bits of it. This, and the distressing, really lend themselves to the overall vintage look and feel of your card. What a wonderful tribute to your father.
