This is my card for today's inspiration challenge.
This is my story.
1. This boy birdie refused to sit on a bow.
2. The dark spots on the gold embossed swirley panel are there because I accidently burnt my cardstock at which point, it became something I did on purpose!
3. I wish I would not have done the criss-cross thingy. It's stupid looking!

IMHO the criss cross cording looks great....as does the entire card. Very, very pretty. Knew you'd come up with something super pretty when I saw what the challenge was and you did!

Well, Cindy......isn't it just like you to make something BURNED into something WONDERFUL??? Can you do that with my orange rolls I made for breakfast? I am not sure that my family will think they are as nice burned as your card is.......
I LOVE this card and the elegance of it! The *darker* spots in the middle give a lovely dimension to it and I happen to really like the gold criss-cross part. Now about that recalcitrant boy bird......

I knew this was a Cindy card the second I saw the thumbnail.
This is lovely Cindy, very lovely. I like how you covered up teh embossing burn with more bursns, I bet IRL it looks even better.
As for the gold criss-cross, I dont thinks it looks bad at all. But it would be pretty easy to cut it off wouldn't it? I do stuff like that all the time. :p

Doggone it!! I'm wrong again!! I actually liked the crisscross until I read your description and realized I really musn't cause Cindy said it's stupid. Oh well, can I say I like the burned paper, the birds and the beautiful sentiment frame? Cause I do. *grin* And you know what? I like the crisscross to so there!

My upline has always said there is no such thing as a mistake in card-making. You just improvise from there. You did a great job making the burnt part look like you did it on purpose. Very pretty card.

You are soooo funny. You've sent my husband out the door laughing to the wood shop! The criss-cross stays - that's what I was drawn to as another way to use embellishments! There's a really good reason the boy birdie doesn't want to sit on a bow - he'd rather have a hammer! You are a delight and a fabulous stamp artist. Thanks for brightening and blessing my day!
