This is for LSC125 to make monocromatic card with no embellishments. OK....first off ...let me tell you I almost had this card finished and I accidentally dropped my basic brown ink pad right across the hat and face of my little cowboy....D'oh!!!!!!!!! I tried to water paint it off the face the best I could and was cursing under my breath the whole time. I finally decided to just brush the darn ink pad across other areas of the main image to make it look like I planned it that way. Second....I may be in trouble as Angela said no embellishments.....but she said we could use any cardstock. So, I painted my image and sketched in the fence and painted it as well. I sponged to create the ground and sky area, and got the main image layered on the caramel distressed bg layer. I just had to have some kind of embellishment so I cut thin little strips of caramel cardstock with my big SU paper cutter and ran them across the caramel ink pad to darken them and to make the easy to work with. I taped the end of three strips together and braided them to create the little paper bullwhip and attached to the boys hand. I took two more strips and attached to the horses head and tied in a knot and attached it to the fence post to make him look tied up there. Lastly, I cut out four horseshoes to attach to a corner. Hey...I just realized this will qualify for last nights WT corner challenge as well. Anyway.....there are only embellishments made from cardstock on this card. I hope the challenge police don't give me ticket for faux embellishments!!!!! smile!

That's so cute, Kittie...I actually think the brown pad disaster works rather well.... little boys are always dusty and a bit dirty!
Can't believe you braided card stock...amazing patience/finger dexterity! (:> And I love the cut-out horseshoes.
Reading your above note, I realize the challenge police will disqualify my card because I forgot and added brads at the last minute. You know me...I can never get it quite right!

Don't worry Kittie, they have their hands full with me...They won't notice a thing! This card is wonderful, I love how you saved the big ink pad mishap. It's really not too noticable had you not said something. I love it Miss Kittie.....This little cowboy just might be a Matt Dillon wannabee, sure looks like a minature Matt Dillon hat to me!

Butterfinger! HAHAHAHA I think you managed to correct your mistake quite nicely! Kittie this is just an adorable card and leave it to you to braid little strips of paper for a whip! Hmmmmmm whose the BAD girl?
