Just recieved this incredible Blog Candy Package that I won -sorry to say I lost the address to her blog site - but her name is P. Taylor from Apple Valley, MN - if anyone knows who this is please, please let me know.
Well - I had to make a card from this incredible gift that she sent me - so all the paper (but the chocolate and chocolate checked) is from her - along with the beautiful ribbon.
This card measures 5 X 5 and is for the Monday Try A New Technique Challenge - which can be found here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I had never tried the Tapestry Technique before - pretty cool - you can find the tutorial here: Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers.
I sponged the white CS with craft ink, then heat set that, then with the White Craft Pad stamped the image from CTMH Adorable Backgrounds- while that was still wet covered the background stamp with clear embossing poweder - heat set. THEN - on the back of the paper I stamped the Big Blossom Stamp and cut the blossom out. Scissor distressed the edges of the flower -then inked the edges of the flower with Baroque Burgundy and then the card headed into the Shabby Chic Arena - sometimes that just happens!
Sponged the edges of the card with CTMH Desert Sand, ran a pattern marker wheel along the left edge for faux stitching and highlighted that with a light brown marker. The center of the flower is popped up and accented with the frayed ribbon. TFL - I had fun with this technique and was happy with how my card turned out today.
