a fun patriotic card this week...sent to a special SCS sistah!
I never knew the 'Star-Spangled Banner' had so many verses! and what awesome words!!
Looked it up online and printed the words on white cs
This House Mouse image just looked like they're singing their hearts out....
now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
in full glory reflected, now shines on the stream!
'tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
image colored with prismacolor pencils and baby oil for blending, slit punch used for corners, sponged caramel over the ribbon to dirty it up a bit.. it was really hard to get a good picture, inside, outside, this lighting, that lighting...ugh!
everyone have a happy, safe 4th!!
tfl;-)

Wow! This is awesome, Dawn! I love these House Mouse images and I can just hear them singing the Star Spangled Banner. Your coloring is wonderful. Cool how you fit it all into a tall card!

What a great stamp to use for your tribute to the Star Spangled Banner! It is awesome that you got the whole verse on your card. I wish I could see it a little better...I know...sometimes pictures just don't cooperate...somethings I have trouble with long cards because you can't get close enough to get a great shot, so my photographer says! At least we can see everything but the words. It's awesome Dawn!

Dawn, this is amazing!!!! I love the muted flags in the bg, the song, the ribbon breaking up the panels, and those adorable, adorable creatures singing their hearts out. How totally clever again!!! I also love the *red, white and blue* sentiment under the picture. Your layout on this card is so awesome!!! Great job!!!
