I was INSPIRED by Jeanne's purse (click here to see the subject of Inspiration Challenge #72: Forums at Splitcoaststampers) to select this card from Julie's gallery: Inspired Butterfly by reneejul1 at Splitcoaststampers. I really think it's such a spring-y/summer-y idea, and so fresh and sunny. Julie has such a fun style and is always trying something new; it was a pleasure to case one of her cards. In her card description, she said that it was very time consuming to ink the butterfly, and that's the truth! There were times that I looked up from the stamp and saw tiny little flowers when I shut my eyes...
My changes to Julie's card:
-- slightly different color scheme. My main color choice for cardstock was Apricot Appeal, and for inking the butterfly, Green Galore.
-- added the ribbon
-- adhered the sentiment to the bottom of the image layer and didn't use the word window punch
-- use of designer paper (found in my scraps) that reminded me of Jeanne's purse
-- eliminated the stamped flower border around the non-layered edges of the card
-- the image layer was popped up on 3-D dots
Thanks for looking!
