A while back I found a piece of broken guitar string and like a good crafter I saved it thinking it would be useful for something eventually. I threatened to make a card with it, and today's heavy metal challenge seemed the appropriate time to try.
There's no stamping on this card except for the embossed Gandhi sentiment inside from Happy Harmony. I used a needle with monofilament thread to sew the guitar string into a treble cleff on layered musical vellum and silver metallic CS that I've had forever. That was layered onto black CS which was accented along the edges with silver metallic rub-on. Stuck a black bow and some silver brads on there to try to dress it up a little. Unfortunately the scanner is freaked out by all the gleam so the picture isn't very clear.

This is AWESOME! I love the card and, since I have a son who is an avid guitarist and NEVER throws away his old strings, I think I'll have to try it! Thanks for the brilliant card!
