Some of you who know me already know that a friend of ours lost his daughter at Virginia Tech on Monday. I've been trying to think of something I could do since, and I have e-mailed the Memorial Fund info to everyone I know (the link is in my signature), and I started a small card campaign for his family, but as a Tech grad myself, I needed to do more. So, I am making these ribbons to give out on Friday for those who don't have Tech colors to wear for the National Day of Mourning.

What a great idea, and such a thoughtful thing to do. My family has been praying for everyone at VT -- they're lucky to have such a thoughtful and dedicated alum!

What a great way to "help" others to mourn. Please know that people everywhere are mourning and praying with all of you who are living so near to this tragedy and who have suffered the loss of loved ones. God bless you all!

I am sorry for the loss you are feeling and for the White family. Please know that even in tragedy God prevails. I cannot imagine what these families are feeling. Take comfort in your faith, friends and family. We are praying in my church for everyone. I will do my best to make some ribbons and share on Friday. My son graduates from college this June. I hope I will never have to personally feel a lose as great as this. Sincerely, ljm
