As most of you know I am taking a Cake Decorating class. My "teacher" commented that this years Stampin Up catalog was "awful, and she didn't like a single thing!" Now that would be like me saying that I think "Wilton" products suck! She obviously represents Wilton, and uses only their products for our class. That being said I made her this card! I was more than pleased at her reaction. She LOVED all the detail on it and gushed over it throughout the class. She also begged to find out how I did it. Point made-I HOPE! Even if she didn't like our stuff this year you shouldn't say it in front of a class of people KWIM?
Anyway-had to share that with y'all.
I stamped the cupcake bottom in Saffron on white layer, colored with banana marker.
I then stamped the top of the cupcake in black, twice-once on the white layer, another time on scrap paper. Colored both cupcake tops with Pink marker, then cut out piece from scrap, applied liquid glue, and adhered SS beads.
Now for the cupcake bottom, I stamped the image onto vellum cardstock with white stazon, turned it over and used my stylus to trace over the image. Faux Pergamo tech. Cut out and attached with glue dots. Layered the cupcake top and Voila-real cute cupcake!
Used my oh so awesome cuttlebug for the embossed bkgd.
You take the cake is from Living Large. The side tag is Fancy Flexible phrases, and says "yummy"
Used a glue pen and glitter to make dots around tag for some bling-

Lauren...this is just fabulous! I'm in need of two birthday cards for Saturday, and I'm going to try your cupcake technique on one of them (she is a fabulous cake decorator). Thank you so much for the inspiration!
