I used the Bloom Dots embossing folder on each colored strip to form the stripes from the inspiration piece. The bottom half of the card is a pocket. I stamped off the Art of Life image several times to get variations in the color and made that piece a bookmark that can be removed from the pocket. The backside of the bookmark will have birthday wishes on it. The Ivory base card was too bright, so I sponged Marigold morning on that as well as the bookmark piece so that they blended better with the colors in the card.

Charlene, this is wonderful. I would have never thought to tear the embossed paper for the stripes. What a wonderful idea to create the pocket as well. I love the Art of Life set and have not used it in such a long time. I may have to make a garden card with it soon. Darn....I'm going to have to get that embossing folder ad I love the look.
