Many thanks to Rox for this week's sketch challenge; it couldn't have come at a better time as I hadn't yet designed the fourth card for my stamp club meeting this morning! So here's my gift card holder...many thanks to CherylPenner for inspiring me to use a spectrum pad for the letters (I had to do an order just to get that spectrum pad!) See Cheryl's card here: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
My "theme" this month for the stamp club was stuff that sparkles, in particular Iridescent Ice embossing powder (which I think I'm addicted to). This card uses it two different ways--I inked the Swirling Stars wheel with VersaMark and them embossed with II so it's kind of sparkly tone-on-tone, and then I did the snowman's head and the snowflakes on the inside with craft Bashful Blue and embossed with II so they sparkle too.
The snowman's hat and scarf are stamped on scrap paper, cut out and adhered to the snow panel. Wish I'd scanned the one I did where the S wasn't upside down, but oh well! Also, my very sweet (and not at all girly, he wanted me to be sure to mention that) husband helped me to make up a bunch of these to send to my stamp clubbers that are non-local. I conned him into melting all the embossing powder for me and finishing the slide-in piece for the insides of the cards. What a guy!!!

What a pretty card! I love the colors - the red santa hat really makes it jump out!
