I'm still on the Tag Time kick using the technique challenge and a favorite color combo I haven't used in a while.
I used one of my cereal box stencils for this: start with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" piece of (cereal box) cardboard. Cut out desired shape - mine is just 1" from top and sides and 2 1/4" from bottom, leaving a 2 1/4" square. If you don't have a stylus you can use the rounded part of a F or G crochet hook (or similar household tool) to dry emboss. Since the shape is simple and the stencil is the size of your card, no light source is necessary.
Update 9/28: I swapped this card at Mpls regionals using the verse from Many Merry Messages that includes the words "merry" and "bright" on the inside.

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.

Totally awesome card!!! I am printing out the instructions you were so kind to share (exactly the reason we're all so glad to have SCS)!! This is a great Christmas card and is so simple it works for when you have a LOT to send out!!
