This is for color challenge 73. I love all the challenges each week but I always look forward to the color challenge the most. Thanks so much for great challenges each week Emily.
I couldn't resist pulling out the little girl set for this challenge. I thought I could get by using sage green as a base color for the leaves, ground and still be able to use it for the little girls dress and bow. The artichoke looks so nice with the sage. The creamy caramel is the color I always use on my fences and trees. I usually keep adding layers to get darker colors for depth but didn't this time so I could stick with the caramel color. The reinkers always seem to color in a little darker in tone than we would get with the crayons or pencils. I used my artist pen to sketch in the stone path, tree, additional fence and the birdhouse. I did sneak in a little gray for the cat and sponged yellow to highlight the background around the girl. I also used my brown rice baggy for my backgrounds.
