Working on Christmas cards for an upcoming stamp a stack. I had this idea of putting madonna and child lightly in the background of the city, but I'm not sure it works the way I'd hoped

This is one of the most beautiful cards I have seen. It really captures the true meaning of Christmas. I too, would like to know how you were able to stamp the madonna and child so lightly? This card is perfect - I wouldn't question if you got the right effect or not - you did!!!!! Thanks for sharing

I absolutely love it. It is so beautiful. It really gives the true spirit of christmas. How did you stamp the image so lightly? Any secret techniques? Again gorgeous.
I think it's beautiful. Especially with the verse on the front.
Really puts the meaning of what Christmas is all about.
I am new to this- did you post how you did this?
Thanks for publishing it.

Thank you for all for your kind words on my card - Heres how it was done:
I stamped the city in Basic Brown, then I masked it, and stamped the madonna & child in Sahara Sand, stamped off twice. I colored the mary/baby image with the lightest shades in my watercolor crayons and with a very wet brush. The great thing about those watercolor crayons is that you can use the brush to remove color if you feel it's too much.
