The husband of my #1 stamping buddy (and fellow SCSer) emailed me to see if I would make an anniversary card for him to give to her. He said that he just could not bring himself to buy one and obviously could not ask his wife to make her own anniversary card. I had so much fun making this knowing that it was going to a fellow stamper! He got me some of their wedding pictures that I was able to shrink down and convert to black and white. Then I used Label Classics to emboss frames around them. The small tag has their anniversary date and I left the large tag blank so that he would have a place to write whatever he wanted.
I used TLC53 and this card that I have long admired by "jacqueline" for my starting point: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

This is beautiful!! What a wonderful husband to think that his wife would appreciate a hand made card when that is her hobby. You sure did him proud, I bet she loved it!!

I love it - and how wonderful to have your best friend make a card for you.
I love that you were able to incorporate photos into the card - a truly unique card. TFS!!!
I did love it! It is totally amazing. It even incorporates elements which she knew I often put into my own cards, and a few memory details (from our wedding) which my DH provided to her for ideas.
DH wrote a really great poem on the large tag. It is just a spectacular thing to receive - it is going into our family archives file, after I pass it around at our next stamping gathering so everyone else can oooooh and aaaaaaah as well.
Thanks Amy - YOU ROCK!

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
