I appreciate your choice, Jean on the fold this week. I attempted this awhile back and had to set it aside due to creator error! Tonight, it worked. And I really like it and see some possibilities down the road.
My process for this collage was selecting the paper for the frame first. I also adhered two pages together to get a double sided (though it barely shows). This time, I used embossing powder along the edges to cover where the points might not meet perfectly. My sentiment, Don't waste a moment of your life trying to be normal is the focal. Those two friends are great examples of being confident in their own skin. I cut out the hand of the lady on the left in order to place it across both. The friend on the right has a German scrap flower on her lapel. Underneath them is a scalloped music scroll. As well as the negative score further toward the bottom. I added a hand holding a heart on the edge of the folded frame. I embossed it, colored the heart and added a Stickle Turquoise cufflink! The wreath and butterfly were laying on my design table. I thought they would balance the friends. I embossed portions of the rice paper butterfly with the 'Punch' ep. and added micro mini beads to the body.
I had a blast creating this card. If it was a hundred years ago...I can see myself sitting on a bench hanging out with this sign. How about you???
Thanks for having a look. I will enjoy seeing all the Folded Paper Frames in the gallery today. I appreciate you getting me out of my comfort zone, Jean!
