I love stencils so I was so happy to see the teaparty friends are all digging theirs out this week.
The cards are going to a lovely crafter battling Stage 4 cancer. My gosh, what a bad time to be facing something like this - visitors are restricted and it must seem like you are alone and very clinical.
She loves purple so I painted up some loose flowers and drew in the details on my card and my BAJ page (Psalms 107). Then I sponged on some vintage colors using a brush and some stencils.
On the card, I wrote in some prayers for Cammie in the flowers and leaves. Prayers of comfort and love and strength. I wrote them super small but they are there.
On the BAJ page I wrote all the words of Psalm 107 in the flowers, leaves and vase. They are scattered around but the are all there. There are some very comforting words in there. The Psalmist recounted some harrowing times and showed how the people were rebellious and stupid and then realized what they were doing and turned to God. When they cried out for help, He saved them. The Psalmist speaks of how we should be very Thankful for all this and for His enduring love and comfort. Even today, we need to cry out and be thankful.
Thanks for looking, I know BAJ is not everyone's cup of tea, but it is very comforting to me these days. The writing of the words in the flowers was especially comforting. I read them upside down while writing them so I had to really focus on the words and what was being said. I may have to try upside down reading more often. LOL.
Now I am off to find some cookies! I would have brought some but don't have any brown sugar or chocolate....got to figure out what kind to make with nothing fun. Maybe some pecan sandies?

These are both stunning. I love the vintage look and the hydrangeas are gorgeous. I am sure Cammie will get great enjoyment from your labor of love. Just stunning.

Oh my goodness, Nancy. Not a stamp for the flowers? Amazing work, so beautiful. It's good to find comfort in God's word. I got so cross when I heard a radio interview this morning where the interviewee said that while he had been in IC with Covid-19, he was comforted by the image of Jesus speaking to the waves to calm them - and the reporter dismissed it as "we all see things when we're on heavy medication".

Love the co-ordinating card and Journal page - as once a stamp is inked you might as well make more than one impression. It still only needs to be cleaned once then same with the stencil which made for a really cool back ground.
