I made this card for today's Teapot Tuesday challenge and for last week's Alphabet Challenge for the letter F (in my card the F means Floral and Fauna). Pat is our hostess for the Teapot Tuesday challenge and the theme is "A Friend in Need" and is for a fellow SCS friend. Unfortunately, my creativity went on vacation and did not bother to inform me when she is coming back (sigh) so I am struggling these days. I ended up going through the StampinUp catalog and found a sunflower card on page 139 of the current catalog that I used for today's inspiration. I substituted yellow roses instead of the sunflowers and I stamped the blue bg rather than water coloring it. Actually, I did water color a bg, but I did not care for it at all with the flower images I am using. The flowers and leaves all use 3 layers of stamping to achieve their look, then I fussy cut the roses and leaves out using a scissors. I was all done with the card when I decided to erase a little glue mark away from the bottom rose when disaster hit. I erased gently, but it still tore the paper away so the glue must have still been slightly wet. I could have cried! Well, it was an opportunity to embellish so I stamped these 2 little butterflies, colored them with alcohol markers, punched them out and they just covered the bare spots left from my erasing. Whew! Thanks for looking today! ~Karen.

Your boo boo turned into a Beautiful save, Karen! I love your sweet butterflies and their colors; so dainty and delicate! You managed to pull in the yellow perfectly. I have that Victorian bg stamp but fail to use it. Looks great here so thanks for the reminder.

Such a beautiful card, Karen! So glad that it all turned out well! We card-makers really get creative at covering up our boo-boo's, don't we? :-)

I love this card. The yellow flowers are very stunning. It is nice when we can find inspiration in catalogs and on line to help when we are stuck with our creativity. This turned out beautiful.

Lovely mat layers with woodgrain and needlepoint look. Beautiful stamping and colors for your two-step stamped blooms. Wonderful coloring for leaves and butterflies!

Ha! Methinks your creativity and my creativity are frolicking all over the place somewhere and they don't even send a postcard! You did a great job, even with her AWOL shenanigans.

Beautifully done all around! I love the woodgrain base with the blue stamped CS. The whole scene reminds me of a lovely picnic. Our anniversary is this week and we had our reception at a place called The Park of Roses. Reminds me of that, too.
