Our inspiration site today is all about getting fit and healthy, and one of Audrie's suggestions was to make a scene that we would love to walk in. I walk in the early mornings most days, and living in MN means that sometimes I am walking through a winter wonderland - maybe not quite as dramatic as this sky, but incredibly lovely nonetheless!
For the sky, I used a technique that I learned from Loll Thompson: smooshing with alcohol inks on Yupo paper. She has a great video showing the process . I used the technique with the added mixative (silver). I am grateful to Loll for always sharing her beautiful techniques so clearly and thoroughly.
After I made the sky bg I splattered it with diluted white acrylic paint and some silver shimmer spritz. The rest is self-explanatory - the tree line die is popped up with dimensionals and the sentiment embossed in silver.
Gorgeous background. So vibrant and bright. Love that colour. The white diecut really stands out. Beautiful card. Thank you for joining us this week at Less is More. Trina

I think a view like this could get me out for an early morning walk. This is BEAUTIFUL, Maura! The die cut trees are so pretty against it! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
