This is my card for the letter R alphabet challenge for Rose. The double challenge was to make it with a splash of red. When I started out water coloring this rose, I thought I was going to get a bright pink bloom using Fuschia color burst powders, but it is actually more red. I added some orange color burst powders to some of the blooms to add a little color variation. The leaves were done in Lime Green color burst powders. This rose is actually part of another stamp that has a vase attached so I cut the vase off and the leaves too so I could place them in a better position. Here is a pic of a card I made with the original stamped rose image: Anniversary Rose by Art Deco Diva at Splitcoaststampers. I did some selective cutting on the SU striped scalloped die too so it wasn't just in a rectangle shape. I really love red and gold together and after adding the gold thread behind the rose, I knew I needed some other gold accents too. I saw a card very similar to this on Pinterest, but I could not find that image again so I am not able to give credit to the original designer. I sure had fun making this though. Thanks for looking. ~Karen.
