Pam is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to make a card using Soft Suede, Old Olive and Gold. The dessert option is "Christmas Greenery."
This beautiful die from Cottage Cutz seemed like a perfect starting point. I cut the image three times, then cut the ribbon and the tree from the green cut, and the tree trunk and ground from the brown cut, and glued them onto the gold ornament.
I sponged Old Olive ink on a piece of DS paper from the new Petal Gardens paper stack, then adhered that to a white card base. The layer behind the ornament was created with alcohol inks and Yupo paper, and matted with Soft Suede. This layer was popped up on foam tape.
I thought it was challenging to make a card limited to these three colors, but was very happy with my results.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

OH MY! Love that alcohol inked background...so lovely and soft and the colors just flow together. But wait, then there's that LOVELY ornament in gold foil with its little tree and perky bow...lovely and cute all in one! Also love the little stripe as bottom mat layer. LOVELY, LOVELY card!
